Implementation of the Tariff Order in 2022


In accordance with the Tariff Order 2022, the latest HS code and the corresponding duties and rates for imports and exports to Andhma will be implemented on 1 June 2022.


To ensure a smooth transition, the Royal Malaysian Customs Department is implementing the following procedures:


1. Customs declarations submitted and approved before 22:00 on May 31, 2022 will still comply with the provisions of the Tariff Order 2017, even if payment will be made after June 1, 2022.


2. The customs system will suspend system maintenance at 22:00 on May 31, 2022, and then restart the process on June 1, 2022.


3. Thereafter, the new HS code under the Tariff Order 2022 and the corresponding tariff rate will apply to customs declarations approved after June 1, 2022.
