Confirmation of the purpose of import


Under the new regulations (EEC Decision DTD 12 November 2021×130) which came into force on February 2022, importers or customs brokers in Russia must provide written notice to the importing country to confirm the purpose of import if a product is certified to Russia but no license is provided. For example, samples, limited cargo for internal use, diplomatic goods, spare parts for certification equipment, etc.

Deferred VAT Accounting (PVA)


To ensure a smooth entry process, with effect from 1 February 2022, all VAT registered customers will automatically apply for an extension of VAT Accounting (PVA) when the import VAT applied by HM Revenue & Customs for goods imported into the UK expires.
